The Little Elm ISD Education Foundation ("LEISDEF," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, grant applicants, scholarship applicants, alumni, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.

• Make an online donation or register for a corporate sponsorship.

• Apply for an Innovative Teaching Grant or student scholarship.

• Register for the LEHS Alumni Association.

• Sign up for our email newsletter or mobile text message updates.

• Contact us directly with inquiries.
   

Financial Data

Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) is collected when you make a donation. We do not store full financial transaction details on our servers. All payment information is processed securely by our third-party payment processors.
 

Derivative and Mobile Device Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Site, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Site.
 

2. Use of Your Information

• Process your donations, sponsorships, and registration fees (such as Alumni Association dues).

• Administer and evaluate Innovative Teaching Grants and Student Scholarship applications.

• Deliver text message notifications if you have voluntarily subscribed to receive text updates (e.g., event reminders).

• Assist law enforcement and respond to subpoenas if legally required.

• With Little Elm ISD: As an education foundation partnering directly with the Little Elm Independent School District, we may share relevant application data (such as grant winners or scholarship candidates) with the district to coordinate funding and award distribution.
   

4. Text Messaging (SMS) Consent and Opt-Out
 

If you choose to enter your mobile phone number to receive text message updates from LEISDEF:

• You agree to receive updates, event info, and opportunities up to 1 time per day.

• Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP to 51555. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.

• Help: Text HELP to 51555 for assistance, or contact us directly at the information listed below.

• Consent is obtained in compliance with wireless carrier guidelines. Your mobile telephone number and SMS consent will not be shared with unauthorized third parties for marketing purposes.
   

5. Security of Your Information
 

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
 

6. Policy for Children
 

The LEISDEF website facilitates scholarships and student awards. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental/guardian consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information from our database as quickly as possible.
