Celebrating Our Lobo Pride: Little Elm Alumni Homecoming Tailgate 2026

Updated: Oct 5
Homecoming is always a special time in Little Elm, but this year’s tailgate on September 11, 2026, was one for the history books. Lobos from near and far gathered to relive old memories, make new ones, and celebrate the enduring spirit that makes our community unique.

Highlighting Half a Century: The Class of 1976
A major highlight of the evening was honoring the Class of 1976 on their milestone 50th Class Reunion. Half a century of Lobo history was represented as members of the 1976 graduating class reconnected, shared stories, and showed everyone that true Lobo pride only grows stronger with time. Seeing 50 years of alumni tradition right alongside our current students was a powerful reminder of how deep our roots run.
Classic Comfort Food with the Education Foundation
No Homecoming tailgate would be complete without a timeless tradition: the legendary Little Elm ISD Education Foundation Frito Pies.
Special thanks to Past President Larry Salerno and VP of Alumni Idalia Amaya for leading the charge! Their dedication kept the energy high and the delicious Frito pies flowing for everyone who stopped by.
A Multigenerational Celebration: Legacy Lobos
This year’s tailgate wasn't just a trip down memory lane for our alumni—it was a true family affair. Many alumni brought along their children and grandchildren, showing off generations of Lobo pride. It was incredible to see so many Legacy Lobos—current LEISD students whose parents or grandparents once walked the same halls—celebrating side by side.
Why Joining the Alumni Network Matters
Events like these remind us that being a Lobo doesn't end at graduation. Joining the Little Elm ISD Alumni Network is about far more than attending annual gatherings; it’s about:
Building and Maintaining Community: Staying connected ensures our Little Elm family remains strong, supportive, and engaged as our town continues to grow.
Keeping the Lobo Spirit Alive: Passing down traditions, values, and pride to the next generation of students.
Supporting Future Generations: Creating opportunities and connections for today’s students through legacy initiatives and foundation support.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, served Frito pies, shared stories, and made Homecoming 2026 an unforgettable evening.
