Still Connected, Still Committed

My three years in Little Elm ISD were the final chapter of my career in public education,

and the beginning of a lasting connection to this community. I served as co-principal at

Lakeside Middle School from 2019–2020 and principal at Strike Middle School from

2020–2022. Then, my husband and I bought a home in the district in 2025. Today, I am

proud to continue serving as a board member of the Little Elm ISD Education

Foundation.

After more than 25 years as an educator and school leader, I know that supporting

students also means supporting the teachers who serve them every day. Educators

bring ideas, dedication, heart, and creativity to their classrooms. Community support

helps turn those ideas into opportunities for students to learn, grow, and discover their

potential.

That is why the Education Foundation’s work matters to me. It gives our community a

meaningful way to invest in education and show our teachers and students that we

believe in them. Serving on the foundation board keeps that commitment connected to a

district that holds a special place in my story. I love being a part of this community!

Retirement changed my role, but it did not end my commitment. I am grateful for the

opportunity to give back to Little Elm ISD and invite others to join us in supporting its

educators and students in this very rewarding way.
